Of Dawn dish detergent, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. I must say that while I used less peroxide than the formula called for, it worked quite well. There were diluted apple cider vinegar wipe downs too. This should be it. Maybe another head-n-face wash tomorrow, but I'm not telling Halley until I must.
We're both relieved that the worst is behind us. For this chapter anyway. Peace.
LOL...poor Halley looks less and less thrilled with each shot...much like Bill Murray in Groundhog's Day!
ReplyDeleteOooh ... poor puppy and poor mommy ... so sad looking:(
ReplyDeleteWell at least she isn't grounded for the month.
definitely doesn't look happy but seems like the smell is going away with the washing =o
ReplyDeletePoor Halley -- I'm sure you were looking just as sad -- I know giving a pup a bath is no easy thing. Glad to hear the skunk smell is dissipating.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you are on the way to one fresh smelling pooch.
ReplyDeleteHow adorable!!!! I love the sad face.
ReplyDeleteHalley looks just like a dog who has seen, and been hit w/ the scent of a skunk...her look speaks volumes...poor precious...glad that your 'au natural' formula worked..I'll bet that her coat will be just gorgeous...:))
ReplyDeleteI laughed when I saw Halley's face. The difference between the other day's photo and this one is so poignant. This looks like a dog who has been washed several times and regrets the whole thing!
ReplyDeletelooking real innocent, but what a sweet face!
ReplyDelete... her coat, which is quite nice without fussing, is all fluffed up and looking quite spiffy ... and *hopefully* she's a lesson.
ReplyDeleteHopefully.
:)
Same thing happened to my dog last year. I think I left the Hyrogen Peroxide on a little too long, his hair ended up turning a little orange . . .opps, now he hates baths
