Acts of Love

Yesterday and today I worked on some new little pieces of art and love. I enjoy the process of creating these Impressions of Nature so much - from wandering the wild places and collecting the trimmings and pressing them, to choosing the leaves and words that belong together, to mixing the colors and mediums, to working them into the layers of love that they will become.

That's what I made today.

Thank you all for your comments. I really enjoy making these little pieces of art - the act of creating them is truly peaceful and oh so healing and even when I am not pleased with an "outcome," sacrificing those to the recycle-realm is easy for me ... because It is the journey, not the destination ...

You must have a cute little or BIG plant press for your leaves and flowers. I keep promising my self to make a mini plant press to take in the field but it has not happened. I need to put it high on my own list of "what I made today." Then next spring I will be ready.

Julia ... I use old books to press my botanicals. :) I made a press several years ago ... I found it cumbersome to use. An old hardback book is a simple solution!

I received the one I ordered, "She increases the pace of her Magic" - and I LOVE it!!! Thank you for all the special enclosures. I just adore this little piece and it really reminds me of so many great things. I'm so glad to have it, and thank you so much. XXXOOO Bonnie
