Fresh Perspectives, Old and New, Reborn and Transformed

Blogging, it seems of late, has taken a backseat to the other forms of social media. Is it just me, or do you find this too? In any event, I'm still making daily. I'm making manifest my conscious dreams, and some less-than-conscious dreams are making themselves known to me. And that's exciting.
I've been throwing paint and these recent "backgrounds" may end up being finished pieces. But then again, they may not. All the same, these two recent canvases in their current state have offered me a fresh awareness of, and heightened appreciation for their visually raw, organic nature. I'm quite certain this newborn perspective is born of a collaborative project that I'm working on - more on that another time.
And my bins of fabric from my quilting days (some 30 years ago) have found their way to the coffee table for evening finger-spinning. Many of the these fabric scraps were gifted to me by my mom and Aunt Mary, and many others are the remains of my piecing-n-quilting days. And the cordage they're transforming into is precious.

That's what I made. And am making.

Peace.

As always your actions and descriptions inspire me to be creative - these canvases speak to me depicting new beginnings, sea, mountains, clean and clear living - thank you.

yes, it seems many people are using other places more than blogland. i still enjoy blogs the most.... more intimate offering for me.

your backgrounds are delicious, beautiful, like aqua waters of tropical and alpine waters.

Yes, my blogging has taken a back seat to social media and creative endeavors. New lip balms, soap and reading have stepped forward. And I just love all that is stepping forward in our lives - beauty, art and friendship.

Your painted backgrounds are really lovely along with your other creative endeavors Rose.
Blogging is still a special place for me as I use my blog as sort of a visual journal. There are so many times that I refer to it to confirm dates or get a link and such.
I have noticed that it is getting trickier to balance FB and blogging and life. I keep being tempted by Instagram but fear I may never leave this seat ;-)

those backgrounds or perhaps final pieces are gorgeous! for me i see aqua waters, high alpine or tropical, sandy beaches and water plants. Calming and enlivening all at once.

I think blogging is taking the back ground for many. i still prefer it over all the others. a bit more intimate, than hitting like. easier to present something more complete as well, for me.

sweet weekend to you.

Hello from a very wet and windy day in Hingham UK

I have just discovered you today, and am going to spend a lovely time browsing all your posts, and sites. My blog/s have been abandoned sadly after a nasty accident this time last year, but I am really looking forward to getting creative again, I have missed it! Off to look at your other blogs etc.

Best wishes
Lottie
