A Plea ...

Oh, how I love this season! No sooner does the snow melt and days lengthen than the green foods return to the gardens …

… and me with them!

So, yesterday I made a harvest of dandelion greens, and egyptian onion tops. We had a nice dandelion salad with supper last night, complete with some chopped onions. Today I'll make something with the rest of the onions … but what?

Any suggestions?

Peace.

Isn't it amazing how fast things green up? So wonderful to see. :)

Hm... I suppose fresh cucumbers with chopped onions, some sault, pepper and yogurt would make a good salad. Here we use sour cream instead of yogurt, we call it "smetana", sorry, but I am not sure in correct translation.

How lovely! It's so joyous to get back to the garden after a long winter, isn't it? The only thing that tops that is having a meal of things home-grown and hand-picked! Happy dining :~)

I am getting so hungry for dandelion greens. We finally got rain today. Now it's snowing! Maybe another week or two.

Oh, I LOVE those yummy leaks-The only thing is we don't really cook with them. We just like topping everything with them finely chopped up :)

My favorite is when you put them in mac and cheese!

Our little violets have opened. So nice to see. I'm sure you have no shortage of ideas! Maybe chop them up with some mushrooms and put them in quinoa.

Carmelize the onions and use them as a flavoring in any dish you like.
