A Prayerful Memory Return

Earlier this month I read these words written by a fellow Etsy Blogger . . .

"Sometimes those things for which we are the most grateful are also the quietest parts of our lives. Like a heartbeat, constant in the background, the often unnoticed pulse on which everything else depends. Life is usually so loud that you can hardly hear the most significant stuff. Which makes it all the more important to listen carefully. I'm listening. For me, I think, that is the truest form of prayer."

The day I read those words I was counting my own blessings and offering tangible thanks to spirit with cornmeal, tobacco, sage and seeds. Tangible expressions of gratitude to goddess for each blessing that I could name. I meant to share these words here way back then but somehow that gesture slipped by me. But I share them now.
