A gentle Forest Folk from the wilds of Vermont inspired this herbal blend ...
... I grind white sage and copal resin together in a sacred manner with my agate mortar and pestle. I burn a small bit most every day or carry a pinch in a medicine pouch. White sage cleanses and clears and copal resin is simply a mighty healer in all the realms that I work in. The verve and scent facilitate a calm focus that is rooted in love and peace and healing.
Enter to win this healing whimsy, a .25 ounce bag, by leaving a comment to this post. Any comment will do (though I'd love to hear a healing inspiration!).

AHHHH!! Two of the elements that compose the herb blend for sweat lodge. Never thought to wear it in my medicine bag.

I was first introduced to copal in sweat lodge. I love white sage - never thought to combine the two.

If I don't win it, can I buy some?
Sounds great - love white sage!
Happy Wednesday!
Oh I SO need to win that! I've been drifting into chaos the past two years and now am looking at divorce and moving 1000 miles away to begin life over. I am looking forward to the chance to totally change my life and at long last live in harmony with the earth.
oooo sounds fabulous!!! - Ryan would totally love this blend - big time! Pick me! Pick me!
I love to burn sage for cleansing and consecrating. Call it my Native American roots!
This is the season that I make mojo/charm bags for protection for my family and friends. This would be a perfect blend for clearing my room to create them!

Perhaps not a healing inspiration, but inspirational for how to live life.
This blend sounds amazing! I'm so glad we met. Etsy rocks!
Meditate your peace, Jesse
This is my first comment, but I have looked at your site often. (Eva got me addicted)I had to enter to win this one since it's inspired by a fellow ForestFolk'er. If you pick me, I promise to share with Ryan and Eva. =)
Sounds lovely
Will this help purge my house of the clutter monster that seems to come everynight to mess up my house? (:
I love Wednesdays! I have never used copal but i love sage for smudging. I would love to give this a try. Blessings on this beautiful day!
Ooh! This blend sounds wonderful! :)
sounds awesome...I love white sage
mmmmmmm I'm still wearing "In the Day" HUGS!!!
Oh my, I was going to avoid the Whimsy Wednesday this week since I've won twice and was beginning to feel a tad guilty but Oh how I love white sage. I've never thought of mixing it with copal, great idea! I also learned you live in Vermont where my husband would love to move one day - how wonderful! So count me in! thanks ~ Sharon
This sounds like a wonderful blend! I love using white sage for smudging and when I do shamanic journeying. The only copal I've ever had was brought back from Brazil by a friend, very sacred resin! I'm very frugal with it's use although I love it.
I used Copal and Sage to smudge my house after my DS's company last month...
Worked like a dream!!!
And smells nice too...
Although I use many herbs in my magickal life there is something about these to that bring me instantly into my mystical mindset. Even the slightest whiff of Sage sends my soul to that wonderful place betwixted the planes.
Can I sneak in here? I love sage and use it to purify all of my pieces in my shop.
Blessings everyone!
Oh I loveeee sage (:
Thanks for playing everyone!
Congratulations to Mannie!!
THANK YOU!!!!

I almost forgot . . .
chrisy - sure, you can burn it on charcoal if you like. I do sometimes. But for my daily burn, I usually just take a small pile and put flame to it, It catches and smolders on its own. I sometimes add a bit to my smudge pot that has a bed of "sage coals" - that works very nicely for a larger amount.
:)
Oh yes, this is certainly an all time favorite of mine. The copal is also very good with a certain sacred cedar I have. The second combination is wonderful for calling in the spirits.
And thank you dear Cloud for the inspiration for this blend. I just love it. It is special. Kinda like you. :)
