An extra early rise has given way to a very productive morning. Kale, eggplant and peppers are dehydrating. The giant pot of tomatoes that were cooked down yesterday are warming on the stove top in preparation for the food mill and the puree will be canned shortly. I have more to harvest, including more calendula to start another batch or two of infused oil.
I banged out three quick sketches, pen on newsprint, numbers 17, 18 and 19 for 29 Faces.
There will be more as the day rolls on, but that's it for now. Figured I'd better post now before the day gets away from me and I crash-n-burn as I've done the past couple of evenings.
So, yeah, that's what I made today. So far.

Love 'em! Just remembered that I did a pen sketch of someone at church last week, but I discounted it because it didn't turn out looking like the person very much, and it was tiny, on my lined notebook. I did a much nicer doodle of a flower and vine sort of design.

This is a VERY busy season for me, since I grow and preserve a great deal of our food. I get exhausted just thinking of it some days, Carol.
And miz katie, I do add paint/color to my line drawings. Most are quick sketches of ordinary things like still life vignettes around the house or the occasional townscape. I've been wanting to do more of those and suspect I will … soon!
And Sharkbytes, I bet your sketches are wonderful! Remember, it's not the outcome, it's the process, so if you enjoyed the act of creating, the creation itself is of little consequence. :)

It looks like you're really busy with end of the season preserving (we're just eating tomatoes like mad, and not trying to preserve any).
