A Face, Fermented Tomato Juice and Green Tomato Preserves

29 Faces, #20

Green Tomato Preserves, not my favorite, but better than last year's batch.

It's been a crazy busy week, and I see the pace continuing, dare I say quickening, over the next two. In this moment I can say with confidence that I have neither time nor keystrokes to spare. So … that's what I made today. So far. Still more to get to.

Peace.

Face #20 is beautiful. The green looks as natural on her as a peach color on me. You are so talented in so many areas. I cannot imagine how fermented tomatoes would taste. Is this one of your inventions?

Thank you, Faye. :) And no, fermented tomatoes are not an invention of mine. It's a technique so old who knows who discovered it! It's quite delicious, though I have a taste for fermented foods of all kinds. I will say it improves with age, like wine!

The face is stunning!!! Love the color :) The tomatoes look yummy too. Today I picked a large basket of peppers that I will roast and freeze for stir fires this winter. My garden is almost done for the year...only a few acorn squash out there and a couple of sweet potatoes to dig up yet. Time to clean it all up and get it ready for winter. Still have the garlic to get planted ,but I usually don't do that until later Oct. I had a bumper crop this year...which was the only thing that did extremely well this year.

The way you have applied the colours and textures to the face is gorgeous, so rich, and I love her blue lips. I do like out-of-the-usual-run faces, they have such character.
Fermented tomato juice! Sounds interesting, and it's a really wow colour.

Love face # 20--I've let other "things get in the way of my own "face" journey, but will now get back to it--them. Love the colors.

Another beautiful face! Lovely mixed media art :)

I love tomatoes. I grow a lot of them but have never tried canning or preserving. You're making me want to give it a whirl!
