I made time for the garden today. I made rows (such as they are) and planted more seeds. Various lettuces, kale, winter cabbage, Chinese cabbage, dill, radish, calendula, and more. It felt good to work as the rain fell, drop by drop.
I made time to enjoy Freya's day, a day of love with the boy and bottled love in the form of homebrew.
I made a salsa with canned tomatoes and green love from the garden that we enjoyed with the home brew and some corn chips.
I grilled veggies and made a dough with the leftover winter grains. These efforts became grilled pizza.
All and all, I took some of Eva's sweet guidance from Wednesday and made Love today. And the day ain't over yet! ;-)

the salsa looks yummy! My tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapeños aren't ripe yet, but when they are I am right there with ya! Your pics make my mouth water....

Homemade salsa is always the best.
oh! is that dough made of spent grains? I spent a lot of time trying to make regular bread out of that, but it was hard. I bet flatbread would be easier...

Yellowfish - by spent grains, you mean the grains left from brewing? Then no - not in this case. These were just bits or oatmeal, 7-grain cereal, cracked barley and such that needed to be used. I don't eat as much hot cereal in summer as in winter. :)
As for spent grains (from brewing) I often mix them with flour for hearty breads (if their not too hoppy).

How lucky that you have a garden big enough to grow your own veg, its something I'd love to do when I get a house. Mine will probably be just basic corrindar, mint and spinach as I have no idea how to garden :)
